On arrival in Zanzibar meet and greet with our driver at the Airport, transfer to Tembo Hotel www.tembohotel.com (in stone town). Check inn for two nights (sea/pool view room) on bed and breakfast basis.
Morning, after breakfast, at 09:00, our driver will picked you up from hotel to cultural tour (village tour). On this tour you will be able to see while walking through the village and capitalizing on the village lifeof the locals carrying on with their daily activities like grinding millets with mortar pestles, thatching coconut palms and preparation of bread for evening meal. The fun part of the tour is actually having guests trying to climb a coconut free. Also, Koran (Quran-an) Schools will also be visited. The most cultural of Zanzibar excursions to be welcomed by local Zanzibar drumbeats where guests are requested to participate with refreshments of tropical fruits. At evening return to hotel.
Morning, after breakfast, at 08:00 depart from Tembo Hotel to Zan blue Hotel is located in North East of Zanzibar island. Zanzibar caves tour on route. This tour will give you a chance to explore most common and ancient caves found in Zanzibar. These caves are part of ancient history of the Zanzibar Island. The locals visit to the caves in order to worship their ancestors, bringing gifts to the holy stones. The stalagmites and stalactites have formed from water dissolving calcium carbonate from coral stones. As well as you will see artefacts from the cave and a timeline of Swahili history going back to the beginning of our story as humans originating in East Africa. You will walk across a small bridge and a few steps to the base of the well-lit cave to find a large pool formed by a subterranean river. The area is a wildlife sanctuary for dozens of monkeys, birds, butterflies and bush babies. The caves that you will have a chance to insight upon our agreement are: Kuza Cave, Kiwengwa Cave, Mangwapwani Cave, Tazari Cave and others.
